In follow-up to our recent article, Choose the Right Path: Filing UMPD and UMBI in Special, we have created a single-page job aid to assist our membership with filing UMPD and/or UMBI cases in TRS’s Special Arbitration Forum. 

We have noticed several filings in which the right of recovery was incorrectly entered as non-compulsory when third-party contribution would have been the correct choice.

Following previous announcements, AF discontinued the Uninsured Motorists’ Forum on February 17, 2024. As such, disputes wherein an insurer pays a claim under the Uninsured Motorists’ coverage and does not agree with merits of the coverage disclaimer by the adverse insurer are no longer compulsory.
