To start, here are several aspects of email notifications to keep in mind:
- They can be active or inactive based on the member company’s selections.
- Notifications can be working for response-side demands, but not outbound demands or vice versa.
- They can be received as individual messages or as a single notice listing several demands to review.
- The destination of the email is determined by the email address on the user profile.
- While email notifications may be established in your E-Subro Hub workflow, the other party may not be configured for notices.
- These notifications are available for E-Subro Hub-active companies and can be configured by a security administrator.
The most common setting for receiving an email is associated with high-priority activities. This would be an event by the other party that puts a demand on the owner’s Work List with an action flag, whether as a Demander or Responder. High-priority negotiation actions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- “Counter Offer”
- “Request for Information”
- “Reduced Payment”
- “Deny”
- “Supplement”
While low-priority actions can be set to generate an email notification, this is not a common choice due to the number of emails that could be generated that are unrelated to the negotiation of the demand. These actions would include, but are not limited to, the following:
- “Demand Detail Edit”
- “Send FYI”
- “Evidence Added”
- “Investigating”
The primary purpose of the email notifications is to inform when a demand needs attention. However, it is important to remember not all demands that need attention will produce an email notification. The most common reason for this is that your company is not configured to have notifications active. An expired diary or message sent from the other party will not create an email prompt but will appear on a Work List. It is always a good idea to view your Work List on a regular basis to make sure all demands are reviewed when needed.
